Shivraj Patil’s NE visit begins on Tuesday

Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil is arriving in Shillong on a two-day visit to
Meghalaya on Tuesday as part of his visit to the region to review the law and
order situation. According to information, Mr Patil is schedule to inaugurate
the new administrative block of Assam Rifles. He is also set to address the
Assam Rifles Commanders' Conference. Before that he would meet the Director
General of Assam Rifles. Moreover, the the union home minister would hold
separate talk on security scenario with senior state government, police, army
and other defense officials. On Wednesday, Patil is schedule to leave for
Kohima.
