Dear Kausik, Thank you for sharing such a great news. In the article I find some wrong/false information which I want to clarify. No. 1 Zindagi is not Zubins solo album and 2nd ly this is not his dream project. It is the project of the composer,music Director & producer of the album. Zubin is just a singer only like Chitra and Shafqat, co-singers in this album. In this album Shafqat and Chitra is also singing as a co-singers so it cannot be Zubins solo album. Thanks.

I am very very upset to read this article....Coz u placed a 100% false and wrong statement...
Zubeen's statement is totaly wrong. Firstly Its not an album planned by Zubeen garg.Than how he claimed as his most ambitious album?
He is a singer of tht album as like Chitra and Shafqat Amanat Ali...
Its a more than one year plan of Alaap who is the Music Composer and the Producer of the album "Zindagi"...Alaap is a very simple person and very hard worker..
This is purely his baby only...He and Universal company asked to sing in this album like chitra and shafqat......
I am very much surprised to see this type of false statement by an Artiste...I can give Alaap's direct number also if u want to confirm urself...

Zubeen’s pop debut is largely bland due to the indifferent music turned out by composers ‘Alaap’! There’s a lackluster feel to every track and Zubeen’s over-exploited vocal range adds to the ennui. The title song is moderately interesting while Udte parindon and Jia lage na make the cut thanks to their simple, filmi tunes. And what are Chitra and Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan doing in Zubeen’s debut album? Ironically, the two lilting tracks by Chitra impress the most! But, when will this singers realize that the music producer/ composer is the most important part of the music making business?

I am feeling this after read all these above comments.If a song or a composition or an Album became hit, we should give the credits to all.Its a mixture efforts of 3 artistes first,means The composer,Lyricist and then the singer....If a composition and lyrics are initially nice it wil definately touch the human's heart...or makes human bound to give their comments...I personally congratulate the composer Alaap ,lyricist Ravi and Zubeen.As I came to know from the above writing Alaap(Dudul Saikia)is also from Our North East.Though I saw dudul name's on the Cd cover.I thought two different persons.Anyway, We are proud of him too along with Zubeen and others....Great Job keep it up.

Hey Alaap, congratulation. It’s nice to see your Album Zindagi in lime light. Great…………… music, great……….. composition. All the songs, all the compositions so nice, I listen the CD 3-4 hrs a day, specially Jia Re Jia Re, Tu Hi Tu Hai, Sham Dhal Jaye, Pal pal bekal, Urdte Parindo. I have read in various news papers recently about you and your association with your own, self created album Zindagi.
Nowadays general people can understand what is the contribution, involvement of a Music director, Composers or a singers in a album or in a film. Any lay man can say, what is the role of an actor in a film and what is the role of a singer in an album. An actor acts in a film as per the directive of the Director. Same way, a singer sings as per the instruction of a Music Director. I am surprise to see why an already reputed singer like Zubeen is trying to take extra credit on some one else’s creation. As a singer he has done his job nicely. Except singing his contribution in this Album is ZERO. Now people knows by reading various news papers that “Alaap” is the main man who has solely created Zindagi, starting from composing songs to complete the songs by utilising singers. We like Zubeen and like his voice quality but the way how he is trying to take false credit or extra credit on someones creation will bring his image level down.
We are all proud of you Alaap, you have talent, no one can stop you. Your dedication towards music, your honesty, your talent will definitely take you to a great height. May the Almighty bless you with Talent, Tenacity and Success for all your future endeavors. Good Luck.

zubeen has done a tremendous job in jia re....
alaap is no doubt the composer,but the singer too should be credited......
if zubeen is not given credit,then why lata ji is credited?????instead we should we should credit the composers behind the songs.........

Thank you Alaap for your album Zindagi. You have presented an excellent Album to the Indian music lovers. Your compostions, your music and selection of singers for the songs is superb. All your compositions are nicely sung by all the three singers, Zubeen, Chitra and Shafqat Amanat Ali. My suggestion to Alaap, next time if you compose song like Jia Jia Re (sufi style), please select singer like Kailash Kher who is a real sufi singer and whose voice quality far far better than Zubeen. You could have continued the whole song Jia Jia Re by Kisna Also. Because the introduction part (high pitch part) sung by Kisna was just amazing. All the best Alaap. Association of singers for an album is not a new thing …It is also in vogue in many other countries. There is nothing wrong in it if we keep aside the commercial side. Even if we consider the business, the singers other than the composer do get money for singing plus they also get the credit if there song is nice. If association of artists is ceased that will create individual approach to singing and led to loss in genre and originality. Moreover, there will be common taste in music. It is just the same as people are tired of nasal singing by Himesh. Himesh is a commercial singer that is why he sings alone in his albums as he want to fill his own pockets…This is not a good character of artist. An artist should be ready to test and experiment new things, bringing innovation and creating variation. Zubeen Garg has always done that. He is a very good talent in the music industry. He has a good voice and keeps people glued to his cool tunes. He has proved that a number of occasions.

This new album “Zindagi” is not uninteresting. It is a good album. Most of the tracks are containing the features of real pop music in it. Shafaqt has done a good song. Zubeen’s “Jia Re Jia Re” is simply mesmerising. There is nothing wrong in introduction of aalaps. Aalaps used in the albums are healthy enough. Only, song i disliked was the remix version of the title song “zindagi kahin goom”. I fully disagree with the above review. Zubeen has offered his best in the album. The quality of Assamese songs by Zubeen Garg is going down....

Remember his oncew beautiful compositions like 'Dure Dure', 'Maya', 'Tumi suwa jetiya', etc.------they seem to be long long back.

Today, Zubeen can boast of quantity, but no quality.
