GSA League begins

The Radha Govinda Baruah memorial Super League Football Championship, organised by the Guwahati Sports Association (GSA) started off formally today here at Nehru stadium. Food Corporation of India (FCI) played against Sports Authority of India (SAI) in the inaugural match today.
Organisers informed this correspondent that altogether eight teams-Food Corporation of India (FCI) SC, Sports Authority of India (SAI) SC, Jewel Star, Maharana AC, Assam Police Blues, Dynamao Club, ASEB SC and Sunrise AC will fight for the coveted title. Former State goalkeeper Dipu Mukherjee in gracious presence of Tulsi Govinda Baruah Chairperson Assam Tribune Group of Newspapers inaugurated the league at 3.30 pm.
