Infighting in AGP: Boro vs. Kalita

Our Guwahati Correspondent: All is not well with the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) as
it is mired in yet another internal bickering.
Former AASU leader and the sitting AGP spokesman Prabin Boro is up in arms
against former Health and Family Welfare Minister and sitting MLA Dr Kamala
Kalita.
Mr Boro has sought stern action against Dr Kamala Kalita for making
contradictory statements before the media regarding the reunification decision
in the recent meet at Mangaldoi.According to Mr Boro, what he briefed the media
on the Mongaldoi meeting was the not his personal comment.
Notably, Dr Kalita had said that regarding reunification Mr Boros statement
before the media was his personal view and not of the party which irked the
former AASU leader.
According to Mr Boro, the Mangaldai meet did not take any proposal for
reunification of AGP with AGP-P. It only decided to form a committee to hold
talks with like-minded parties on all issues, including unification of regional
forces.
Sources say Mr  Boro has lodged a complaint with party President Brindabon
Goswami seeking disciplinary action against Dr Kalita saying Dr Kalita has
violated party discipline and as such he deserves stern action as per the laid
down rules of the party
