Nagaland Govt building concrete wall near Merapani border
Nagaland has always betrayed the Assamese people and they have proved it time and again through their various nefarious activities at the Assam-Nagaland border. The latest misdoing is the building of a concrete wall in the Seedfirm area of Merapani in Golaghat district.
The Supreme Court of India has formed a commission under the chairmanship of Mr. S.N. Bhariyabha to overcome interstate border dispute of Assam with its neighbouring states. But in violation of the guidelines of the Commission, Nagaland Govt. with the help of the C.R.P.F. Battalion, which is being posted at the Assam-Nagaland border as neutral force, is constructing the concrete wall. Due to the inactiveness of the Assam Govt. the construction is going in full swing from 8th of June.
The construction site was visited by the Doyang Regional Students Union accompanied by group of journalists from Merapani area and later they have demanded immediate cessation of construction work. They warned of strict action against Nagaland Govt. in near future like staging an economic blockade to safeguard the interest of the concerned people.
