ULFA cadre killed in Kamrup dist

A day after the alleged stage-managed arrest of ULFA top gun Ram Singh, an ULFA militant was killed in an encounter with police on Thursday in lower Assam's Kamrup district. According to information, the decased has yet to be identified, exchanged fire with the police at Maujuli village. However, none from the security forces were injured in the encounter. A M-20 pistol and an Australian grenade were recovered from the slain ultra. The body has been sent for post-mortem.

An unidentified victim. In that case, how does the police claim the deceased to be an ULFA cadre?
