A Sivasagar court remanded dreaded ULFA leader Ram Singh to four days police custody on Thursday. According to information, soon after the end of all the legal formalities he would join the pro-talk faction.

A days after he was arrested, the ULFA leader was interrogated by army at the Moran based camp of 318 Field Regiment and on Wednesday night he was handed over to police for interrogation. Earlier on Thursday, he was produced before the Deputy Commissioner.

Talking to reporters on the way to the court, Ram Singh refuted the allegations of stage-managed arrest by police and army. He further said he was in no way involved in the extortion drive and in the backlash against the Hindi-speaking people in Assam.
