65 Field Regiment of Red Horns Division constructed three market sheds to be used as  village Haat in Barnadijhar, a remote village in the district of Darrang at the cost of Rupees six lakh under ‘Operation Sadbhavana’.  The Village Haat was inaugurated by Upendrajeet Rajbonshi, a prominent  social worker in the area in presence of Col AK Borah, Commanding Officer 65 Field Regiment and other senior citizen of the locality.

The Village Haat will provide organised local trading and will help the small traders in selling their domestic products.  Moreover these sheds will help the locals to carry out their trade even during monsoon without any interruption.  The locals welcomed the Red Horns Army’s assistance and organised a colourful cultural programme which was attended by approximately 1000 people.  Colonel AK Borah during inaugural function mentioned that it was the duty of society to groom the youth so that the potent force contributes towards development of the locality and stay away from antisocial activities.
