According to NDTV opinion polls, the ruling party is set to make a clean sweep in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
It predicts 13 seats for Congress and AIUDF while Bodoland Peoples’ Front is expected to retain the Kokrajhar seat.
According to the survey, AGP and BJP are set to draw blank in the state. In the 2009 general election, the Congress had bagged seven of the 14 seats in Assam. The AIUDF had won one.
The opposition BJP had triumphed in four seats, while the Asom Gana Parishad, or the AGP, had to rest content with one. The Bodoland People's Front had retained its stronghold of Kokrajhar.
