AGP ridicules BJP poll promises

The Opposition Asom Gana Parishad on Sunday lambasted Congress and BJP for flooding false promises in the time of Lok Sabha polls.

Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Sunday, senior party leader Atul Bora said that both the national parties have no dearth of poll promises. But only to be ignored after the election.

He said that the BJP’s poll manifesto have been lots of promises for the north east. But these promises often go missing in the national level.

He further criticized Guwahati BJP candidate Bijoya Chakrabartty alleging that he remain silent in Parliament and is found vocal only outside the House.
