A string of violence seems to have marred the statewide Assam bandh on Tuesday.
Called by a number of non Bodo organizations in protest against the bloodbath in BTAD, the bandh evoked mixed response.
Bandh supporters in many places are on the streets to enforce the call from 6 in the morning. A section of these supporters pelted stones at passenger buses, shops and markets.

Bandh supporters in Nalbari damaged several vehicles at Borkhetri in Nalbari. Some of them burnt tyres on the streets to block the movement of traffic on Tuesday.
Bandh supporters in Tezpur damaged some vehicles and shops when they tried to enforce the bandh in the morning.
