The simmering dissidence within the Congress legislature party would soon die down if senior AICC leader Ghulam Nabi Azad is to be believed.
Talking to reporters in New Delhi on Wednesday evening, the AICC leader dealing with the crisis along with Dr CP Joshi and Motilal Vhora said that the amicable solution was in sight and that the party will gear up for the 2016 Assembly polls.
When asked about the fate of the sitting Chief minister Tarun Gogoi, Azad parried a direct reply to it and said,”let’s see what would take place.”
Whatever Azad told reporters in New Delhi assumes significance hours before he was scheduled to meet Dr Sarma, who is camping in New Delhi to meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
Sources told Assam Times Dr Sarma who missed Sonia Gandhi is likely to meet the Congress president on Thursday morning.
