Kick Boxing championship in Chirang
A hectic preparation has got underway to hold the 2nd Kick Boxing Championship of Bodoland Territorial Council with three-day long programme scheduled at Kajalgaon from July 21-23 in Chirang district.
Apeaking the reporters on Frioday at Kokrajhar Press Club,Nripendra Chandra Roy,pPresident of the Kickboxing Association of BTC said that the championship will be included the sub junior, junior and senior categories for both boys and girls. He further stated that the championship will held at Kajalgaon Market Community Hall and organising by Chirang district Kick Boxing Association.
He said that a total of an approx 200 athletes from the four districts like Kokrajhar, Chirang, Baksa and Udalguri are participating in the championship.
“There is huge hidden talent in the sport of Kickboxing in the region and the objective of the association is to bring up the young talents into limelight by providing better training facilities and platform”, added Roy that Er S S Harichandan founder president of the National Kick Boxing Federation will attend the championship as chief guest.”
He has also mentioned that the Kick Boxing Association of BTC affiliated to Indian Association of Kick Boxing Organization, recognized ‘B’ School Games Federation of India (Ministry of Sports & Youth Affairs, Govt. of India), IOA where the Association is now eligible to play any State and National events independently.

The Mwihur International Theatre Festival has ended in Kokrajhar, Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
The seven-day festival took place at the Bodofa Cultural Complex, Chandamari. Thirteen plays were performed by renowned artists from around the world, in various languages including Bodo, Assamese, Nepali, Hindi, Sinhala, and Malayalam. The festival was organized by the Lwrgi Theatre Group and supported by the BTR government.
