BPF moves court against Sherman

BTC Deputy Chief and BPF spokesman Kampa Borgoyary said that he would move the court against AIUDF leader and MLA including Serman Ali alleging involvement in the recent string of incidents in Labdanguri where four lemon traders were killed.

Talking exclusively to Assam Times on Friday in Kokrajhar, he expressed serious concern over the prevailing situation in BTAD region said that it was a very condemnable incident for the council as the common peoples are becoming victims with several incidents like kidnapped,killing and extortion since few years.

He said allegation levelled against him of involving with recent Baksa situation from leader and MLAs from AIUDF party was unfortunate and provocative against him.

He said that he was not involved with any incidents of Baksa district and move to court against the AIUDF MLA who are trying to craete bad image on his political career and personality.

He has also challenged that AIUDF should prove his involvement with situation,for which why he is waiting and court will give justification over the issue,he added.

Borgoyary said that the BTAD administration has no any power to maitaining law and order in the region,all management and functions are coming from state government itself,of which the council administration has to live with uncontrolled.

He revealed that the law and order situation is very bad in the region since few years as unwanted incidents like killing,kidnapping and extortion are occuring in huge figured especially in Baksa,Chirang and Kokrajhar district and we(BTAD administration) have been intimated to centre and sttae government about incidents.He has demanded state government should take strict actions against situation so that common peoples can meet healthy situation.

He has also comedown heavily on the demands of Presidential Rule in BTAD from AIUDF Chief and MP Badruddin Ajmal said that how it is possibble Presidential Rule in BTAD as the council fall under in Assam state and he adding said that if Presidential Rule comes in the state,it automatically will go under Presidential Rule.He has also said that the prevailing situation which are occuring in the region are not in a majore as to demand of Presidential Rule.

Borgoyary termed the demand from Ajmal and Kokrajhar Lok Sabha MP Naba Kumar Sarania was nothing but a political provocation to create misunderstanding among common publics in the region.

Former president of Kokrajhar district unit of Bharatiya Janata Party, Binati Bala Basumatary resigned from her party membership on Monday.  Basumatary submitted her resignation letter to the state party president citating personal reason . She was Kokrajhar district BJP president for 2011-2015, who had gained strength of the party through her strong leadership in the district. Basumatary's quit of the party ahead assembly election would draw a set back party strength in the Kokrajhar. Three cadres of the NDFB(S) were arrested by security forces in a joint operation belonging to police and army at Hakata village under Barama PS in Baksa district on Sunday. The cadres were identified as Jwangsar Boro @ KK, Mohit Mushahary and Pramod Ramchiary @ Khankari @Raja   of Baksa district. They were actively involved in extortion, arms smuggling and other nefarious and anti national activities and Adivasi carnage in December(2014) and had run away and sheltered themselves in Chennai, till their return.
