The studied silence is over. Bhubneswar Kalita has spoken out. The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee president has threatened the party workers of action if they violate the party constitution.
Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Thursday, Kalita said that each of the party man must abide by the high command.
Kalita said, “all the party leaders and workers have been directed to observe party discipline, else action will be taken against them.”
Kalita’s position assumes significance four days after Himanta Biswa Sarma put in his papers as cabinet minister and three days after Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi axed two cabinet ministers Ardhendu Dey and Siddique Ahmed for anti party activities.
