Guwahati wears a fresh look. Roads and walls, flyovers and bus stops in this premier north eastern city are being painted afresh. Only a couple of days are left. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is coming to Guwahati on November 29.
The city turns into a security fortress in view of Modi’s maiden visit as the prime minister. Army, police and CRPF jawans are on round-the-clock vigil to thwart any sabotage attempt by the militants. Extra forces are patrolling on the entry points.
Immediately after landing in Guwahati on November 29, he is scheduled to flag off the first train from Meghalaya apart from laying the foundation stone of the Bharibi-Sairang railway track. Towards the afternoon he would open the conference of DGPs and IGPs, he will be address the north eastern chief ministers.
