Unity in the time of bloodbath
Bloodbath is nothing to do with the age old bonhomie between Bodos and the Adivasis. They are still united to thwart any attempt break the bond in the time of violence where both the Adivasi and Bodos are bearing the brunt.
In bid to retain unity and solidarity innocent Bodo people rushed to a paddy field and helped an Adivasi family harvest paddy in Sukhanjhora village near Fakiragram on Sunday. The Adivasis also came out in large number to join them.
The Adivasi family members told Assam Times that they have no words in their lips to expressing the happiness. They thanks the people. They said that the family members have not been able to harvest their paddy due to recent carnage.
People who thronged the paddy field called it a good message to the people that nobody can divide the common people.

Former president of Kokrajhar district unit of Bharatiya Janata Party, Binati Bala Basumatary resigned from her party membership on Monday. Basumatary submitted her resignation letter to the state party president citating personal reason . She was Kokrajhar district BJP president for 2011-2015, who had gained strength of the party through her strong leadership in the district. Basumatary's quit of the party ahead assembly election would draw a set back party strength in the Kokrajhar. Three cadres of the NDFB(S) were arrested by security forces in a joint operation belonging to police and army at Hakata village under Barama PS in Baksa district on Sunday. The cadres were identified as Jwangsar Boro @ KK, Mohit Mushahary and Pramod Ramchiary @ Khankari @Raja of Baksa district. They were actively involved in extortion, arms smuggling and other nefarious and anti national activities and Adivasi carnage in December(2014) and had run away and sheltered themselves in Chennai, till their return.
