Poachers have killed a rhinoceros and a forest guard at an encounter at the Rajiv Gandhi national park on Wednesday. The encounter took place early in the morning where four poachers faced the forest guard after they killed a full grown rhino.

Identified as Sushil Seal, he was a home guard who was killed during the cross fire between the poachers and the forest guard.  
A Mk 1 .303 rifle, one pistol and cartridges have also been recovered from the spot.
