Official sources told Assam Times that initially the service would confine to Guwahati and Bagdogra in the region which would be expanded in a phase manner.
The flight will halt at Guwahati for a short spell of time and then it would leave for Bagdogra from April 2 to connect the north east with New Delhi.
Vistara currently operates across five domestic airports -- New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Goa and Hyderabad.
