Holi fever grips Tinsukia

Here comes the spring. Red flowers are in full bloom. A gentle breeze sweeps everywhere. That’s an occasion to celebrate holi, the festival of colours.

Tinsukia district continues to soak in holi festivities for the second day on Friday marking the advent of spring.

With colours, gulals and dhakis, people of all walks of life came out of the homes to play holi with each other from early in the morning.

Temples in the nook and corner of the entire upper Assam district are teeming with devotees who thronged in thousands to soak in joy on the occasion of the festival of colour.

Amid fun and frolic the people got a new world far away from a string murder and mayhem.
