This is unfortunate that in the name of "tradition" we do still encourage so many unethical things. Remember the Supreme Court ban on Jalikattu. This is just another regional version of the same dirty devil spirit.
The best way to maintain tradition is to restore our primitive ones. For eg. staying naked and go back to our hunting gathering stage.
