Despite a set of stringent measures trafficking of north eastern girls refuses to die down in Delhi.
Delhi police have rescued two girls from Assam at a brothel in the national capital on Tuesday.
Sources told Assam Times in New Delhi that acting on a tip off police and a local non governmental organization conducted a raid at a house in the wee hours where the girls were rescued.
Both the girls are believed to have hailed from Bongaigaon district who have been remaining untraced for the last couple of months.
Delhi Police are in touch with their Assam counterpart to send back to Bongaigaon. Investigation is continuing.
