Two train drivers sustained serious injury when their passenger train engine fell on a river in BTAD area on Saturday.
The accident took place at Basugaon where the engine of the Up Shiphung train slipped into the Champa river after it rammed into an uprooted huge tree.
The bridge on the river also left in the accident in the wee hours.
The injured driver duo are battling for life in the hospital while all passengers managed to eject safely.
Senior Northeast Frontire Railway officials arrived in the spot and took five hours to restore the movement of the waiting trains.
