Former GMDA minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday claimed to have played no role in the multi crore Watergate.
Talking to reporters in the sidelines of a function at the Rajiv Bhawan, the former minister said that whatever he did as a minister would be clear if any investigation is allowed to take place.
He said that all files pertaining to the water deal is available in the GMDA office.
“I don’t understand why my name is unnecessarily dragged into a controversy. The US report has named a minister Goa and not Assam. It is a simple English sentence. ”
