Former GMDA minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma threatened to take legal action against a section media for dragging his name to the Luis Berge scam.
Talking to reporters at the Rajiv Bhawan premises on Wednesday, the former minister said that a section of media has been naming him in the multi crore scam bereft of any reason.
“I will take file criminal and defamation cases against a section of media in a day or two,” said Dr Sarma.
A visibly angry Dr Sarma said, “My name was figured in the Saradha scam. I received clean chit. But a section of media did not tender apology before me for naming me in the scam. This time I will file defamation case against them.”
