Sunday sentiment at Raj Bhawan

With a view to bridging the gap with the common people, the Arunachal Pradesh Raj Bhawan will remain open on every Sunday. According to information, the people, especially school children would have the opportunity to tour the compound. The visitors may report at Helipad Gate at least 15 minutes before 12.00, 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm. The visitors will be ushered-in, in batches, guided by student volunteers of Department of Tourism, Rajiv Gandhi Polytechnic, Itanagar.

Tirap Deputy Commissioner is set to crack the whip on the mushrooming growth of chit fund companies. Acting on a set of complaints deputy commissioner Ravi Jha said that he would not remain silent if these ponzi schemes lure the investors promising returns in Tirap and Longding districts. He cautioned the people not to indulge in such fraudulent schemes. The public health engineering & water supply department is bracing up for a grim financial crisis. An astronomical amount of money has yet to be realized from the central and state government offices in the division. The department has missed the revenue target because of the unrealized amount.The entire situation has forced the deputy commissioner to step in. Deputy Commissioner Tamiyo Tatak has asked all departments to clear the pending bills to avoid penalty charges.
