In a major boost for students, the Arunachal Pradesh government will release their stipend in three installments. The government decided to frame a proper policy with guidelines to facilitate financial assistance to such schools.
Education department has been also directed to include boundary wall, science laboratories, etc while submitting any proposal for school buildings and to keep on record the physical status of all schools and compile a database, which would be helpful for renovation and other developmental works in future.
The meeting that lasted for more than six hours also decided that training centers with all facilities such as kitchen and necessary equipment would be established for training and orientation of supervisors and anganwadis and also establish rehabilitation centers for drug and alcohol addicts.
Flagship programmes like Vidya and CM’s Global Education programme would continue with committed funding from the government. While Vidya would cover more girl students, smart Classes would be introduced in schools this year.
