AYO backs Bodoland demand
The All Bodo Students Union ( ABSU) and Arunachal Youth Organisation ( AYO) will work jointly for peaceful co-existence in the north eastern region.
Both the organization held interactive cum awareness session at Hotel Donyi Polo in Itanagar on Sunday to boost communal harmony, unity and brotherhood.
A five member delegation led by ABSU General Secretary Lawrence Islary attended the session with Giogi Talar, president and Making Taxing, general secretary of organization. They discussed and resolved jointly to extend all possible help to ABSU to the cause of realizing Bodoland with all possible democratic means only.
Respecting ABSU sentiments on the issue of Bodoland, the Arunachal Youth Organisation will raise the issue with Union minister of state for home Kiren Rijiju at the earliest and extend out support by submitting a memorandum.
Delegates of the students union included Kusum Swargiary, adviser, B Kwirwm Dwirwm, Kwrwmdao Wary, secretary and Maneswar Daimary Public Relation secretary of ABSU.

Former president of Kokrajhar district unit of Bharatiya Janata Party, Binati Bala Basumatary resigned from her party membership on Monday. Basumatary submitted her resignation letter to the state party president citating personal reason . She was Kokrajhar district BJP president for 2011-2015, who had gained strength of the party through her strong leadership in the district. Basumatary's quit of the party ahead assembly election would draw a set back party strength in the Kokrajhar. Three cadres of the NDFB(S) were arrested by security forces in a joint operation belonging to police and army at Hakata village under Barama PS in Baksa district on Sunday. The cadres were identified as Jwangsar Boro @ KK, Mohit Mushahary and Pramod Ramchiary @ Khankari @Raja of Baksa district. They were actively involved in extortion, arms smuggling and other nefarious and anti national activities and Adivasi carnage in December(2014) and had run away and sheltered themselves in Chennai, till their return.
