The Supreme Court has refused to hear the review petitions of Assam, West Bengal and Kerala on the ban on the photographs of political leaders on the government advertisments saying that it would be taken up in January as soon as the Centre files its affidavits.
A bench of Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justice Pinaki Chandra Ghose on Tuesday declined to pass any order saying that it would hear in January the petitions including by the centre seeking the review of its verdict. The court fixed January 12 as the next date of hearing.
