National Press Day at Nagaon

The State Level Celebration of National Press Day is going to be held at District Library Auditorium, Nagaon on November 16, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. onwards. 

The programme is organised jointly by the Department of Information & Public Relations, Assam and District Administration, Nagaon.

Noted Cartoonist Champak Borbora will deliver the key-note address on the theme of this year’s National Press Day, “The impact and import of cartooning and caricature as a medium of expression of opinion”. Eminent journalist Shri Samudra Gupta Kashyap will also share his views on the topic, “The role of press in present scenario”.

Five senior journalists from Nagaon District will be felicitated on the occasion for their life-long contribution to the society.
