Anup Chetia's direct participation in the ULFA-Government peace process is believed to have dominated the talks between a pro talk ULFA delegation and Union home ministry in New Delhi on Tuesday.
The Arabinda Rajkhowa-led delegation demands measures to ensure early participation of the founder general secretary of the outfit who was sent to jail on Monday.
Rajkhowa is leading the pro talk ULFA delegation in the tripartite talks presided over by Union home secretary Rajiv Mehrhish.
Union minister of state for home Kiren Rijiju also attended the meeting for a few minutes along with peace interlocutor PC Haldar.
The meeting reviewed the progress of the peace process which was initiated during the UPA government.
The meeting further discuss the demand for ST status to 6 ethnic communities which is in the process.
