English poem book released at Guwahati Press Club

An English poetry book, penned by Dr Jeshim Raja was inaugurated at Guwahati Press Club on Sunday. Dignitaries including academician Dr Dayananda Pathak, physician Dr Anjanjyoti Choudhury, advocate Satyen Deka, journalists Prabhat Sarma & Nava Thakuria jointly launched the book in presence of Dr Raja. Published by the journalist turned poet himself, the book consists of 24 recently penned poems.

The speakers, while appreciating the poet for his simple lifestyle, also pointed out his secular character in true to its term. Being a Muslim too, Dr Raja recited some paragraphs of relating to Mother Goddess Kamakhya. The participants in the meeting emphasized on maintaining the secular character of greater Assamese society forever.
