Assam Police has successfully organized rallies, seminars etc. as well astraining programme about the provision act to create awareness among the public on child rights, at districts and sub-divisions level w.e.f. 6th January to 12th January, 2016as per “State Convergent Plan of Action on Child Welfare” which was launched by chief minister of Assam Tarun Gogoi on 5th January, 2016 at Guwahati.
It may be mentioned that, in this regards Assam Police held a seminar on 8th January,2016 on the theme-Combating child trafficking and child labour by effective Law Enforcement-Problems, Vulnerabilities, and agenda setting with all the stakeholders like Social Welfare Department, Labour Department, Health Department, NGOs etc. where Child Trafficking and Child Labour issues were discussed viz a viz Law Enforcement.
