Japanese Government Scholarship 2017
Undergraduate program is a 5 year program for those who wish to study in a Japanese University at undergraduate level comprising of 1 year of Japanese language training and 4 years of Bachelor degree course.
College of Technology is a 4 year program comprising of 1 year Japanese language training and 3 years of associated degree course. Colleges of Technology conduct practical and professional engineering education based on an integrated system with general learning and specialized learning organized systematically.
Specialized Training College is a 3 year program comprising of 1 year of Japanese language training and 2 years of associated certificate course. Specialized Training Colleges are vocational schools that run courses in specialized subjects at the higher education level.
The scholarship benefits are: free tuition fees, monthly stipend and one return air ticket. The deadline for submitting the application is 17 June 2016. The application can be accepted at the Embassy of Japan in New Delhi and Consulates General of Japan in Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, and Consulate of Japan in Bangalore. The Bodo medium was introduced on 18th May 1963 in Assam. It was in 1976 the Bodo medium Students were lucky to appear for the Secondary Examination. A good number of students have passed out since then. Many intellectuals and people working in different fields have also studied in Bodo medium. There are about 20 lakhs Bodo population in Assam of which 4 lakh are students in Bodo medium studying in lower primary, upper primary and high schools in Bodo medium. There are only 27 Bodo medium provincialised high schools in Assam which do have sufficient teachers and no infrastructure for the students. As a part of the ongoing programme to unite young people against climate change, Youth Alliance for Climate (YAC) is organising youth summit in Guwahati and Gangtok on 17, 18 and 20th May. . In a bid to generate awareness on climate change young people from different parts of northeast came together to form Youth Alliance for Climate in 2008. It was a youth programme conducted by Indo Global Social Service Society as a part of their SMILE programme. The participants of that programme decided to form a network as the discussion of the youth programme was on climate change. YAC organises programme in different parts of North East. Most of the programmes are with the young people of the region which includes school students, college students and other young people.
