Bodoland Students Union burnt effigy of Kokrajhar Lok Sabha MP Naba Kumar Sarania for his alleged communal statement at Parliament regarding Balajan Tinali bazar terror attack on August 5 last in Kokrajhar district.

9 am along JD Road near Bajwi Hotel in Kokrajhar.Sarania kept his communal statement on August
8 alleging that BTC region has been facing several situations like communal tension since 1990 and it was also tried to create communal problem in the region.
Students union strongly slammed MP Sarania for his anti integration remarks on BTC area.Students union warns Sarania not to keep more such derogative comment and asked to avoid such immature remarks on the situation.
Swgwmshar Basumatary, president of the students union condemned Saranias' remarks on firing in Kokrajhar.He has alleged that Sarania have no any input about incident which caused innocent people in the area.Sarania being people's representative in the Parliament does not have proper documentation, Basumatary said.

The 7th edition of the northeast Butterfly meet was concluded at Raimona National Park in Kokrajhar district on Wednesday. Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) Executive Member for Forest & Environment Ranjit Basumatary inaugurated the event at Kachugaon.
