Normal train services in Assam remained heavily disrupted on Monday when ABSU in ran and file blocked the rails in BTAD areas reiterating the demand for separate Bodo land.
Hundreds of ABSU leaders and activists staged railway blockade in Basugaon, Chirang forcing many trains to remain standred for several hours.
Talking to Assam Times in Kokrajhar ABSU protesters said,” we are tired of hearing false promises. BJP promised to fullfill our demands two years back before the polls. Bodo people voted BJP to power and forgot it.”
The protestors further threatened to intensify the agitation if the NDA Government in Delhi refuses to listen to them.
