APDCL daily losing 2 crores daily
The Assam Power Distribution Company Limited(APDCL) has been losing 2 crores daily due to incurring of power from other agencies as well commercial loses across the state. On the other hand,a newly constructed office building of Kokrajhar district of APDCL was inauguarated in Kokrajhar on Thursday.
Nikhilesh Baruah,Chief General Manager of APDCL while speaking reporters sidelines of the office building inauguration said that the APDCL has been facing two-crores loses daily due to procurring power supply from other agencies and commercial loses in the since state which has been creating managing crisis across the state.He said the APDCL has been facing atleast 55 crores monthly in the state ue to the several problem and issues since few months.
He revealed that even though APDCL is facing loses of power supply,yet supplying sufficient distributions in the state. He also said that concern department has been fscing man pwer crisis due to retirement of officer and staffs.The APDCL has been trying to enage local youths in the metre redaing as well functioning of power repairing in Panchayat level so that remote area’s power management could be managed in healthy manner,Baruah said.
He said that APDCL working working to the regular power distribution in the state so that consumers could not face sacracity of power in their living.He said that newly constructed office building will be benfited to the official jobs while performing official purposes.

KOKRAHAR: A sense of alarm has gripped the Jharbari area after a timber smuggler was discovered dead in a firing incident during the early hours of the morning in Kokrajhar. The incident occurred along ride no. 1 under the Jharbari range of the Haltugaon forest division in Kokrajhar district, where the smuggler was fatally shot while transporting logs on a cycle from deep within the forest.

Apurna Narzary, an international women's football player, has been nominated for the Emerging Player award for 2022-23 by the Sports & Youth Welfare department of the government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
