Civic action programme at Indo-Bhutan border area

The 37 Bn SSB, Mangaldoi deployed at Indo-Bhutan Border recently organized a Medical and veterinary Civic Action (MCA/VCA) programme at Bangurum L.P school ground under the AOR of BOP Bangurum on Friday. The MCA/VCA was organised as part of monthly animal health care coverage of border population as well as their live stocks under the AOR of 37TH Bn. SSB, Mangaldoi for profitable, hygienic, sustainable and disease free rearing of man and livestock. The MCV/VCA programme consisted both of treatment and dispensing of medicines free of cost as well as vaccination of cattle population against common diseases like Foot & Mouth disease, Black Quarter and Hemorrhagic Septicemia in the programme, Dr Ajeet, AC(MO), 37th BN, SSB Mangaloi and Dr Sudhir Sangma, AC (Vet) of 37th BN SSB provided free medical checkup and medicines to the needy villagers of the bordering area.

The turnover of villagers to the camp shows that the free medical camp was leaded in the area and has been appreciated by all. Total 250 (approx) patients were given free medical prescription and medicines and 380 livestock’s were checked up by veterinary officer for their treatment and gave medicine and tips to the villagers for keeping their livestock healthy and profitable. 

During the occasion, prominent personnel and Gaon Burah from nearby villages were also present at the venue during the MCA/VCA.
