Rabhas to continue protest

Hundreds  of Rabha people hit the streets on Tuesday in Goalpara demanding rights under the Sixth Schedule.

Under the banner of the All Rabha Students Union and the Sixth Schedule Demand Committee, the protestors blocked the National Highway No 37 in Dudhnoi raising the demand.

Further, they strongly demanded Rabha teacher recruitment in the schools falling under the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council apart from release of adequate fund taking into consideration of the rising population on thr entire. 

For the third time in July, these tribal people raised thr demand with an organized protest. Sixth Schedule Demand Committee chairman Kushadhar Rangko said they they are nit relenting until and unless the demands ate not fullfilled.
