Interactive Talk at Biotech Park

Guwahati Biotech Park in the campus of Indian Institute of Technology , Guwahati has organised an interactive talk on BIRAC-BIG Scheme (Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council - Biotechnology Ignition Grant Scheme) designed for Individuals/ entrepreneurs & Academicians and start-ups to establish proof-of-concept data for their exciting ideas in the field of life sciences on 4th August . The grant amount is Rupees 50lakhs for 18 months and Guwahati Biotech Park  is providing R & D platform to start the entrepreneurial venture under this schemes and others.

Dr Papri Banerjee, Program Manager, C-CAMP, Bangalore has delivered the talk on the grant programme and it was coordinated by Dr Bula Choudhury, Senior Scientist, Guwahati Biotech Park . Entrepreneurs from different sectors, student and faculties from IITG,GU,DU,NIPER, IASST, Don Bosco University and representatives from FINER, NGOs were also participated in the program.

Guwahati: The city based scribes maintain good health as most of them have performed well in a recent blood screening camp conducted by Assam’s celebrated healthcare institute Dispur Hospitals. Nearly 80 scribes, age limit from 30 to 60 years, participated in the free camp, where their blood samples were collected to test thyroid, haemoglobin and sugar.
