GUWAHATI:A popular actor and director of an entertainment channel in Guwahati has been sent to jail acting on a complaint of domestic violence.
According to police, Manjeet Sarma, who is in direction of a few popular serial was sent to jail after he was arrested on Monday. Acting on a complaint filed by his wife Trishna Sarma, Manjeet was interrogated at the Chandmari police station and was arrested.
Trishna in her complaint accused him of trying to kill her because his illicit affair with Prastuti Parashar, an allegation vehemently denied by the popular actor who threatened to move the court with a defamation suit.
