High Court lawyer arrested in Guwahati

GUWAHATI:The Guwahati police have arrested a lawyer acting on a number of complaints in the city on Thursday.

Identified as Mausumi Bora, she was arrested from the Lamb Road at a stones throw distance from the Gauhati High Court where she attends.

According to information, on receipt of a number of complaints of extortion, blackmailing and insinuation, a team of Latashil police station sent to arrest her.

The moment she was informed she started running away on the Lamb Road at 1 PM. The lady police team also started following and chasing her. Finally, she was caught.

A team of senior police officials has been interrogating her at the Latasheel Police Station in connection to a number of complaints lodged against her.
