On the valedictory session all the delegates were presented their participancy certificate. On the concluding day a seminar on "Issues and Solutions of Gorkhas of North Eastern India" was held. Dr. Jayanta Sharma; Reader, Political Science Gauhati University(GU) on political field, Prof. (Rtrd) Lil Bahadur Chetri also well-known academician on education field and Sr. designated Advocate of Gauhati High Court R P Sharma on law and active politics tabled their paper. Retired IAS officer D B Chetri presided over the seminar. Interestingly all the three speakers were confined to Assam only and some of the statement was an example of self trumpet blowing. Hardly few people paid heed to the speakers that marred the image of the seminar. Honestly speaking the seminar did not evoke any response neither it passed any absolute resolution and concrete idea. After the seminar 36 Life Members of BGP from Assam were felicitated and awarded their LIFE MEMBER CERTIFICATE by C K Shrestha. Diamond Donor Mr. Krishna Bhujel of Maligoan who donated 2 katha of meadi patta land in the heart of the city to BGP Assam State Committee for construction of office and guest house was also felicitated publicly. Newly elected General Secretary of Post Graduate Students' Union (PGSU) of Gauhati University (GU) Mr. Laxman Upadhyay was also felicitated by Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangh. Assam State Committee BGP President Shri Pitamber Gurung was overwhelmed at the successful hoisting and conclusion of the program.
