AAMSU stages sit in silent dharna in Kokrajhar
Kokrajhar: The All Assam Minority Students Union(AAMSU) staged two-hour sit-in-silent dharna wearing black cloth on mouth in front of DC office in Kokrajhar today, demanded proper implementation of NRC update as per guidelines reached from Supreme Court, strictly verified the family tree-process as per norms, identify the ilegal immigrants properly through the NRC update etc.
Hundreds of AAMSU activists and citizens from minority community joined hands in the dharna with banner,placards and demanded early implementation of the NRC update through the strict verification. The dharna was started from 11amand continued till 1pm. However,leaders of the AAMSU denied for media interviews on the occasion as they are observing sit in silent protest.
The AAMSU leaders strictly demanded properly implementation of NRC update jobs in the state.
