UYDF demands establishments of gardens of ITIs, parks for youths

KOKRAJHAR: The United Youth’s Democratic Federation (UYDF), a newly floated non-political social organisation have placed demands of establishments of gardens of Industrial Training Institutes(ITI) and parks as well many more entrepreneurship in the country to make youths employers, and not employees.The federation demanded ‘youth’s pension’ for the state of Assam to facilitate welfare and development of the youths. The federation has emphasized to build a healthy society by involving youths in the social uplift and welfare by initiating innovative activities in the region. The federation advocates that youths are foundation of the nation, youths are the future of each generation, first and foremost, presentation, acceptation and protection of youths in India must be re-addressed to make youths strengthen with positive thinking and social renaissance.

Addressing a press conference at Kokrajhar Press Club, President of UYDF, Gorjon Mochahary said that youths of the society are deprived of their due rights due to the detrimental policies of the nation. He blamed unemployment asa the root of evil practices prevalent in the society including drug abuse, flesh trade and extremist activities across the country. 'Only by establishment of ITI's and skill development programmes youths can grab the job opportunities across the country which will help in building a welfare state", he said. He also exhorted the Chief Minister of Assam to consider schemes like youths’ pension for building a strong and bold society. He appealed Prime Minister ,Narendra Modi, Chief Minister, Sarbananda Sonowal and Chief of BTC, Hagrama Mohilary, that India does not need host of IITs, for a welfare nation, but we need gardens of ITI's which open up window of entrepreurship oppurtunities in our country and thereby make our youths employers and not employees.

KOKRAHAR: A sense of alarm has gripped the Jharbari area after a timber smuggler was discovered dead in a firing incident during the early hours of the morning in Kokrajhar. The incident occurred along ride no. 1 under the Jharbari range of the Haltugaon forest division in Kokrajhar district, where the smuggler was fatally shot while transporting logs on a cycle from deep within the forest.
