BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary, who is also BPF president reacting to the NDFB-S remarks of note to vote for BJP and AGP in the ensuing assembly election termed that it was meaningless.
Mohilary, addressing the reporters today in Kokrajhar said that the remarks reach from the militant outfit was meaningless for the state. The militant outfit urged to vote against BJP and AGP in the assembly election citating insincerity attitude from BJP party towards Bodo and indigenous people after NDA voted to power at the centre in 2014 Lok Sabha election.
Mohilary said that threatens not to vote for BJP and AGP from the militant outfit would not be affected to the common voter's in the election. He has accused of that NDFB-S has been linked with Congress party that is why they stating against BJP and AGP in the region.

At least two persons, including an Army officer and a civilian received bullet injuries following indiscriminate firing by suspected militants late Thursday evening at Oxiguri Raimona area in Gossaigaon sub division of Kokrajhar district.
The army was on ambushed late last night at Auxiguri/Raimona area under Saraibil police outpost. Suspected armed militants indiscriminately fired upon army. Later army too retaliated where an army officer and a civilian received injuries.
Injured were immediately rushed to Kokrajhar RNB civil hospital, but later referred to Guwahati Medical College due to critical condition. The injured army officer was identified as Trepatpreet Singh, of Rajput battalion and the civilian was identified as Rufan Tigga of Ambritpur of Gossaigaon sub-division.
The army officer was received minor injury and civilian was hit by three bullet injuries on his body, said doctor in Kokrajhar RNB civil hospital.
‘Investigation into incident is on. The security forces have been intensified their counter insurgency operation in the area’, said Rajen Singh, SP Kokrajhar.

To create awareness among people of diseases like diarrhoea and gastroenteritis, which recently broke out in the tea estates of the region and other neighbouring areas under Sapekhati Block PHC of Sivasagar district, health awareness camps were organized in Barasali TE and Desang Deroi village under Demow Block PHC on November 4 and 5 respectively.
A meeting, held at Barasali TE, was presided over by Jesuda Tanti, president, Bhuyakhat Gaon Panchayat. It was attended by Dr CN Dutta, Joint Director, Health Services, Sivasagar, Dr JM Bora, Project Coordinator, Global Fund for AIDS, TB and Malaria, Dr Amrit Kumar Gogoi, Subdivisional Medical and Health Officer, Sapekhati BPHC, Debojyoti Baruah, general secretary, North East People’s Right, Dr Kartik Borthakur, medical officer, Borasali TE, members of the mother’s club and local ATTSA unit, line chowkidars and others. They visited the tea garden lines and urged the people to take steps to prevent diseases.
The NGO members demonstrated the purification of water by chlorination. The NGO has already installed 30 low-cost sanitary latrines in the gardens. Another meeting was organized at Desang Deroi village on November 5 where students of Desang Rajabari LP School took out a rally to create awareness.
