KLO cadres urged to join peace process
KOKRAJHAR: The Kamatapur Liberation Organization (KLO) Coordination Front consisting former cadres of of KLO has urged upon the KLO members who are still struggling with arms to come to the main stream to participate in peace process.
KLO is a militant outfit organization seeking Sovereign Kamatapur led by Jiban Singha.
The former KLO members said that the arms struggle against the state should stop. The members who are still in the jungles must avoid the arms struggle and come to the main stream for peace talks to solve their problems and demands through the political dialogue.
The former KLO members observed the 26th martyrs day of the organisation on Thursday at Chandrapara here with day long programme scheduled.

Apurna Narzary, an international women's football player, has been nominated for the Emerging Player award for 2022-23 by the Sports & Youth Welfare department of the government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). Narzary has represented India in several international events and is the daughter of Biswajit Narzary of Khagrabari village in Kokrajhar district. The award will be presented to her during the Baokhungri festival celebration at Baokhungri Hill site near Harinaguri in Kokrajhar. The award includes a citation, traditional Aronai, and a cash prize of Rs. 2 lakh. The festival also featured a Hills trekking competition and traditional food showcase competition.
