Nagaon Book Festival-2009 from 11 December'09
The much awaited Nagaon Book Fair-2009 is slated to be held in Nehru Bali field of Nagaon from 11-31 december’09. The fair will be held by local district administration, Nagaon in association with socio-cultural organization ‘Kallol’. The three weeks long fair is an annual festival, where not only book-lovers but other citizens too eagerly wait for this extravaganza filled moments in winter evening.

The people of Nagaon recently witnessed a cultural evening on Sunday, July 19, which is purely an extravaganza offering mix of song, music, dance and play i.e; a complete cultural show encashing all form of arts in one. The evening was dedicated to Bangla poet Rabindra Nath Tagore and Assamia literature icon Bishnu Prasad Rabha on the occasion of their birth anniversaries. The evening was held in Nagaon Bangali Sammelani Audotarium to its full capacity located in the main city area of town M G Road. As the evening was truly an experience of all form of cultural round-up starting with Rabindra Sangeet comprising both songs and dance items, the credit for organizing such a beautiful event...
Most of the roads connecting Nagaon with Jagi Road, Dimapur, Tezpur are in such a dire state that travelling through these are becoming to be real nightmare for citizens. The condition of NH, SH as well as inner roads in the city is dipplated so much that two-wheeler riders are mostly who are suffering injury on account of it. The state of road in front of Sadar Thana can be eye-opener for all of us as police-men inspects vehilce in front of big pocket-holed patches in front of police station itself. But, they seldom do anything besides regular routine cheking of vehicles,because untill the road causes an accident, they are not responsible!!! On the other hand repairing of roads...
