One Killed in Mishap at Kamalpur
One traffic police constable was killed and one civilian was injured in an accident today took place at Dalma gate of NH31 under Kamalpur PS of Kamrup district. According to the police sources one scooter bearing number AS-01/E-1223 coming from Rangia towards Guwahati was hit by one Tata Winger bearing no AS-01/CC-2573. in that incident the rider of scooter namely Liladhar Das (45), a traffic constable of Nunmati PS was killed and one Sadananda Kalita (35) got severe injury.

The troops of Red Horns of Division of the Indian Army deployed at Changsari under Kamalpur PS in Kamrup district has recovered today 70 Kgs of explosives from Changsari. Acting on specific information army recovered the said explosives. One person has been apprehended in this regard but army has not disclosed the name of the person.
Kamrup Police today recovered 60 detonators from Baihata Charili in Kamrup district. According to the police sources detonators have been recovered from a dhaba acting on specific information. Further investigation is on in this regard.
One student namely Samnur Ali (12) was killed in a road mishap took place today at NH 31 at Kamalpur in Kamrup district of Assam at around 9-45am. According to the police sources Samnur Ali, a student of Kamalpur MV school got severe injury when he was hit by a truck No. WB -41/ 3109 on the way to his school. He breathed his last on the way to GMCH. The truck was seized from Rangia by Kamalpur Police.
Kamrup Police today apprehended one ULFA cadre namely Mintu Kalita (22) from Bamundi under Sualkuchi PS under Kamrup district of Assam. Police has recovered some documents pertaining to ULFA. Mintu was involved with many extortion activities. He is a member of 709 battalion of ULFA.

It is to be noted that the name of coke industry comes under high air polluting industries of the world. Coke industries are mainly engaged in purifying coal. But in the process of purifying coal air becomes polluted. Carbon Monoxide and many other toxic gases are left from these industries. According to a survey the whole environment has become polluted in the district . Water and paddy fields have also been affected by the pollution of these coke industries besides heavy air pollution.
