voter awareness campaign failed to make impact on Dr.Manmohan Singh, Prim Minister of India, as he did not cast vote here. What do you expect from general public? Though he later on said that he has casted vote throuh Postal Ballot, he had to give the explanation due to report in the media fearing criticism- one feel.

Chief minister Tarun Gogoi is confident that Congress will be able to retain Dispur. The BJP has announced the second list of of candidates for Assam Assembly polls.
